Primary level is an alma mater where children receive the first stage of compulsory education known as primary or elementary education.
The core curriculum is designed to make the children discover themselves and their environment through exploration and discovery. The curriculum is contextual and flexible. It is designed to develop the rational and analytical abilities of young children.
Teaching is activity based at primary and middle level. Stress is laid on communication skills and self expression through stage speaking and plays. Thematic teaching, with one theme a term, encourages children to explore issues through multi-disciplinary activities. Activities are planned to sharpen creativity, curiosity, competence, analytical and problem solving skills.
A host of term wise intra-section activities result in hundred percent participation in variety of fields. The emphasis is not winning but on participation.
